{"id":661,"date":"2015-02-01T11:13:53","date_gmt":"2015-02-01T18:13:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/yogapantsdiary.com\/?p=661"},"modified":"2015-03-29T17:35:43","modified_gmt":"2015-03-29T23:35:43","slug":"fit-football","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yogapantsdiary.com\/?p=661","title":{"rendered":"Fit Football"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just as you think the eating temptations and binges are over, Superbowl Sunday rears it&#8217;s ugly face.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t really care about football and probably won&#8217;t even be watching the game.\u00a0 Our house is a hockey house!\u00a0 However, since I know a lot of you WILL be watching the game, here&#8217;s some tips to make it through the day without regretting all the choices you made the next day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/yogapantsdiary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/d48b9fb035949fbb3f8541a2fc3a7157.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-665\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/yogapantsdiary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/d48b9fb035949fbb3f8541a2fc3a7157.jpg?resize=420%2C294\" alt=\"d48b9fb035949fbb3f8541a2fc3a7157\" width=\"420\" height=\"294\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/yogapantsdiary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/d48b9fb035949fbb3f8541a2fc3a7157.jpg?w=420&amp;ssl=1 420w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/yogapantsdiary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/d48b9fb035949fbb3f8541a2fc3a7157.jpg?resize=300%2C210&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/yogapantsdiary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/d48b9fb035949fbb3f8541a2fc3a7157.jpg?resize=150%2C105&amp;ssl=1 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bring Your Own Food <\/strong>&#8211;\u00a0 I suggest this for any get together.\u00a0 I always bring a fruit or veggie\/hummus tray when I go to parties.\u00a0 That way I know for sure that there will be things I can eat and not worry about.\u00a0 Look for a healthy dip or quick snacks you can bring for everyone to enjoy.\u00a0 People might not think of putting these options out today but you&#8217;d be surprised how many people will gravitate to what you brought. It&#8217;s also easier to say no to the fried food tray when the fruit tray is sitting right next to it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stand up! &#8211; <\/strong>Force yourself to stand while you eat.\u00a0 You will burn more calories standing while you eat, but that&#8217;s not the full point behind this tip.\u00a0 If you force yourself to stand while you eat, you&#8217;ll do less &#8216;robotic shoveling&#8217; into your mouth while watching the game.\u00a0 Also, when you get sick of standing, you&#8217;ll have to stop eating to sit down.\u00a0 This is an easy trick that I find myself naturally doing at parties now.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Don&#8217;t bring the bag <\/strong> &#8211; When you&#8217;re eating, portion everything out!\u00a0 DO NOT BRING THE BAG TO THE COUCH.\u00a0 You&#8217;ll find yourself &#8216;robotically shoveling&#8217; into your mouth and the next thing you know, the whole bag is gone. Don&#8217;t even sit next to someone who has done this.\u00a0 Just don&#8217;t do it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/yogapantsdiary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/10176395-football-fans-eating-6ft-sub-watching-game-gettyimages.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-664\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/yogapantsdiary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/10176395-football-fans-eating-6ft-sub-watching-game-gettyimages.jpg?resize=412%2C414\" alt=\"10176395-football-fans-eating-6ft-sub-watching-game-gettyimages\" width=\"412\" height=\"414\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/yogapantsdiary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/10176395-football-fans-eating-6ft-sub-watching-game-gettyimages.jpg?w=412&amp;ssl=1 412w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/yogapantsdiary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/10176395-football-fans-eating-6ft-sub-watching-game-gettyimages.jpg?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/yogapantsdiary.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/10176395-football-fans-eating-6ft-sub-watching-game-gettyimages.jpg?resize=300%2C300&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 412px) 100vw, 412px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Eat Once &#8211; <\/strong>DO NOT GRAZE.\u00a0 Load up one plate and only eat that.\u00a0 Grazing adds up.\u00a0 As soon as you walk in the door or your party, the food will probably already be out.\u00a0 Then there will be a meal in the middle of the game.\u00a0 Then deserts.\u00a0 If you eat a full plate at each one of these times, you&#8217;ll be WAY over your calories.
